Action Alert | 3 Steps For ENDA

Here are things YOU can do to move forward the Employment Nondiscrimination Act during the Congressional recess:

VISIT House Members In District Offices. Get an appointment, drop by their office, and definitely leave a note
WRITE Your Representative. Handwritten is best, so mail it, or send an email.
CALL Your Representative today! Call the U.S. Capitol switchboard at (202) 224-3121. Give the operator your zip code and ask to be connected to your Representative.

Suggested voicemail message:

My name is _______ , and I live at (your street address) in (your city). I am calling about ENDA. My message is simple and direct: we need committee markup and a House vote on ENDA the week of April 12. Thank you.

Thou shalt cite the original source (author,
title, affiliation, publisher, date) of a post whenever possible; thus may readers direct their rants and raves in the right direction.
Thou shalt be wise with the quantity of material thou posteth to the blog; for the reader unsubscription rate is inversely proportional to the number of daily posts.
Thou shalt replace shaped quotation marks and
apostrophies (“ ” ’) with straight equivalents (" " ') whenever possible; for shaped characters are not supported by all e-mail servers.
Though mayest embed YouTube and Google video clips in a post but thou shalt also provide a hyperlink to the clip; for the clip itself may be stripped out of the e-mail version.
Thou shalt include graphics with thine posts when possible; for plain text is really boring.
