To those who reside in the State of New York, please phone your Assembly Members to ask them to cosponsor Danny O'Donnell's marriage equality bill. We have 2 1/2 weeks before Speaker Sheldon Silver takes this bill to conference. If he says there are not enough votes, he will not bring it to the floor for a vote. We need about 8 more votes to guarantee it goes to the floor. 5 of them are the swingable middle. Some legislators are only now waking up to the fact that they have to decide on the question of marriage.
This is a very important time for LGBTs in New York State.
